Why building with light galvanized steel studs? |

Because they reduce costs, as well as time and because all materials used are made under strict quality regulations.

Will the design of the house be conditioned by the steel frame system? |

Not at all. Versatility and flexibility of the system allow the design chosen not to be conditioned by the technology adopted. Any proyect may be made with steel galvanized structures.

Will the house look different from other houses? |

If there is anything which distinguishes the house from the rest, it is certainly not the adoption of the system. As previously said, and due to the fact that finishing materials may be the same as those ordinarilly used, it does not exist any reason that may render the house different from other houses around it.

Does the use of this system produce any environmental impact? |

Steel admits reciclyng in a 100% and as many times as needed, it substitutes other materials of difficult or impossible renovation such as wood, cement, clay, etc. The intensive usage of this system does not affect the echological balance. Framework inner parts may have been a car, a fridge or a pan.

Which are steel framework construction costs? |

They are reduced, depending of finishing materials and the time consumed, direct costs may be reduced between a 20-25% less, compared with traditional construction. This numbers may increase if indirect costs are considered.

Why construction time is reduced? |

Because all structural materials (partition wall, mezzanines, roofs) are assembled in factory while foundations are built up. Their mounting is easy, fast, precise and articulated. Installations, building enclosure and finishes are made simultaneously. A house of 200 m2 is completely finished in 90 days.

Will the house be effective as regards climate? |

With the appropriate insulation, these constructions are highly efficient from the thermal point of view. An external wall of 0.15cm thick composed of plasterboard, vapour barrier, fiberglass within two wall plates EIFS system ( external insulate finish system) provides an insulation equivalent to a 1m thick wall in masonry. Under this conditions, energy consumption is reduced to a 30% as regards air conditioning.

Will metallic structure interfere with radios, telephones or TV? |

NO, Waves may go through vertical studs allowing the use of any kind of receptors.

Is metallic construction dangerous during storms? |

Metallic framework offers people a better protection, more than any other construction system. Scientifics recommend to seek protection under mettalic structures during storms because metallic framework allows ground discharge reducing posibilities of explosion and secondary fires or personal wounds.

Will Metallic structure be affected by corrosion? |

The use of galvanised steel components, in watertight compartments, protect the structure itself against corrosion. Moreover,the structure is fireproof and stable from the point of view of dimensions. Steel structure does not contract or expand, and it does not curve or settle.

Will steel Construction resist earthquakes, strong winds or tornados? |

Of Course. Connections with autodrilling screws, chemical and mechanical anchoring systems to foundations provide great protection in case of natural phenomenons. To that effect, these structures have an anti-seismic certificate for all seismic zones and against all kinds of winds. A part from all that, the system also has an Aptitude Technical certificate (ATC).

Is it possible to redesign or enlarge the structure? |

Yes, it is possible. Due to the design of big and open spaces, internal partitions may be erected with absolute freedom, and structures may be easily modified according to changing needs. Moreover, enlargement may be made in a fast way and with minimun effort to dismantle.

Do these constructions last as traditional houses? |

The usage of galvanized steel in the structure, together with modern construction technics, assure a longer period of life compared to ordinary constructions.

Will this kind of construction affect negatively the post-sale? |

This kind of construction is not necessarily different from traditional constructions and may be easily sold as traditional houses. Due to the high resistence and durability of steel, this kind of construction will keep its value for a long time. Moreover, if one can take advantage from these conditions and flexibility of design, additional advantages will be added to the sale.

Is it possible to obtain credits or mortgages over this kind of construction? |

Due to the reduced possibility of recoverage of superficial, internal and external finishes, these kind of constructionas are not qualified as entirely disassambled. That is why Banks consider them as mortgageable.
